Final Update

Unfortunately I will be taking down this blog within the next few months :( but this does not mean the end for the Galactic Conquest! :D

Some time has passed since the last post (Yes, I do have rough renderings; no I'm not going to post them) and in that time I have put a lot of thought and effort into where this never ending project headed.

I am happy to say that everything, EVERYTHING, will be up and ready on a personal website by the end of April 2016. Everything from this blog, everything from The Pen and the Door, The Black Mansion will get a few more posts before it goes down too, but eventually everything will be allocated elsewhere. Meanwhile, updates or content releases will be posted --> here <-- regarding the progress of the website.

Of course the moment it goes up I will post a link on this blog before I take everything down. That's it for now, but good and great things are still to come!

Medium Update

I've been looking around and doing research on how I want to publish to hard copy some of the things on here. I should say that I will be posting a couple more things here and then that will mark the end of The Galactic Conquest. Do not cry, don't be afraid not all endings are the end!

I'm thinking about starting a web comic on the events that transpire after Tom, Shadow, and Zero save the universe (wait did I just give that away? [but wait why does the story continue if the universe is already saved?{Mysteries arise on the horizon!}]) Any how, the storyline following the Hero trio is complete and some interesting things happen that cause the story to move forward. I'm kind of in a bind of whether I should post that stuff here or on a separate blog like with The Pen and the Door.

Thinking, thinking, thinking, well thats about it for now, regarding The Galactic Conquest though. All I need to do is post a bunch of renderings of stuff I told you all I was going to post. If you have any questions or just want to say hello, feel free to comment or message me or something. Just don't hurt anybody. :p

On the other side of the Universe...

There is a side storyline that I worked on for a few short weeks, it was not meant to be long or to be deeply intertwined with the main GCTT. I would like to consider it a kind of tragedy with a hero the does succeed, but loses it all in doing so. In this story we follow Tom when he was a young lad, 16-25 is the range. Here we see the extent of his power without the Eternity Gauntlet, we see his past with the Royal Guard, and we also see a form of Chaos (or at least the predecessor to the Chaos Sprites that end up roaming the universe.)

Past the gateway of Jupiter's Red Eye, when the alignment of the celestial bodies in the 13th System occur, only then will you find the path that takes you to a distant place where a rare Quartz like mineral can be found in abundance. For now we call it Citrele, its properties can be engineered to either conduct or amplify and resist or absorb electricity. And the people of the Tric System are those ones who discovered and utilize it every day to its fullest potential. Though to us electricity has become and always will be a commodity, to the Tricians it is a way of life and to lose ones ability to channel it in, around, or out of the body would mean death.

When the Infinity Gauntlet was activated by the Lord of Corruption, it revealed to his followers all prime sources of power in the universe. The Royal Guard being the main force to venture out and take what did not belong to them. The people of Tric were a peaceful warrior race. All conflict was dealt with displays of power before an official challenge of will was initiated. In the case where an argument escalated to violent measures they would simply transport themselves to a near by planet in their system (one populated immensely with Citrele).  Since all the planets had a source of Citrele, the feat of interplanetary travel could be done with ease if one could harness the power within: the body's natural electrical currents.

In this time period we follow a boy named Caen, straight out of the womb the Royal Guard of Tric implemented the use of a prototype Power Vest (PV) that would greatly hinder his natural abilities. Around the age of 17 the vest must be swapped out in order to accommodate his ever increasing power level. They place him in a chamber that would proportionally suppress his power so that he would not detect the lie that has made him who he is to this point, weak.

Through what appeared to be divine intervention, in the near by testing facility where the criminally deranged and mentally unstable were subject to inhumane experiments, a "failed" experiment wrecks the place and "frees" Caen from the chain of lies that bound him. The sudden release of energy overwhelms him and he obliterates what remains of the RG scientists and the building. His opponent Golyth sees this as an opportunity to overthrow the RG and the Trician Government. Unfortunately for him Caen's faith in his people and the law decimates Golyth.

Caen teams up with Samuel who forges a PV that aids Caen in controlling his energy by storing excess energy that can be tapped into at will. Samuel mentors Caen and guides him in find out who he is and how to better use his abilities. Tom doesn't come into the picture until the very end, when Caen and Tom must decide the fate Tric by either genocide or self-sacrifice for the greater good of the universe.

Beahementeh the Prodigal Sacrifice

Lets make things short and sweet...

Beahementeh is based on the creature called Behemoth and his ability to use sound to destroy his targets is inspired by the "Bloop" recorded back in 1997.

Originally I had written somewhat of synopsis for a movie about the Bloop, making it a creature that annihilates worlds. It resided in the deep waters of the Pacific , and only a rose when it awakened from Pits slumber. Once it arose to cause havoc on Earth, our world's best militaries try to take it down, but to no avail. The creature proves to be unstoppable and ends up blowing a hole through the center of the Earth. Think Cthulhu. You can imagine the size of the creature with the amount of power I envisioned it to have. Too bad Guillermo del Toro beat me to the punch with Pacific Rim.

The behemoth I use for the name just to make a light reference or maybe even a nickname almost. Beahementeh is supposed to be enormous and powerful just as the behemoth mentioned in Job 40, but the description is not the same, similar but not exact. Combine the two concepts and you get the dragonkin creature Beahementeh.

P.S. He's a wyrm

Epilogue, Part 1

"Was it of elder age or mortal wounds? Was from sickness without medical attention? No matter the reason the out come was still the same. A man came here to rest in my shade. Came here to watch birds build their nests, ants take what they need, and the sun set in the sky. He came here to rest his head on one of my roots and let the soft earth massage his body. This man who came here to experience life as his very own seeped out of consciousness."

He awoke in a dark murky room, subtle flashes of lightning illuminated the unknown that was a modest bedroom. He sat upright exiting his comfort zone, allowing the moist air, that air that only arises when it rains, to gently rip across his back. To his right lay his beloved, a woman he did not know but had come to know. He had no memory other than the few seconds of time that had expired. His name was Tom, but thats all he could make out.

A knock on the door down stairs prompted him to take action. He passed his son's bed room, and then a surge of suppressed emotions overcame him like a tidal wave of sharpened knives. *Doki, he could hear his heart, *doki, and with each beat, *doki, he eyes began to glow a fierce orange, *doki, muscles in his arm contracted, *doki, another knock on the door, *doki, and then, *doki, he remembered.
