Shadow "Magic"

As I have mentioned before, there are a diverse amount of weapons at the disposal of one’s finger tips at the expense of time for vast knowledge. One of these “weapons” is another type of “magic” that I have decided to call, Shadow “Magic”. Although it may be confused with Dark “magic”, as it has in the past with other writings I have chosen to withhold from the blog, it is entirely different in style and effect. Shadow “Magic” is a cross between photon and molecular vibration; I will not be getting into the technicalities of whether it is a form of weaving or manipulation (instead I will say that it is a form of blending).
Unlike elemental darkness, which is just the form of darkness, shadow blending has attributes because it is the removal of photons and redistribution of kinetic energy of particles via vibration. This is why Shadow “Magic” is darker than night and colder than ice. It has no distinct form upon conjuration like elemental darkness; instead it appears as the way the caster wishes and in the direction at which the redistribution of heat and removal photons moves in. So in other words, it chills backwards and expands with darkness, and if the act is slowed down enough a blade of shadow can be seen forming from the tip backwards from the inside pushing out. On the flip side of things, Shadow Magic can also be very hot since molecular vibration is involved, in doing so it can be hotter than the sun. When this occurs the act obtains a white-orange tint; also the act wipes forward with heat.

  1. i think you should draw a picture of how it works... how does it "chill backwards"? is it purposefully a contradiction? or some form of a paradoxical power?

  2. Yeah, I agree a little with Favian. It's not that hard to comprehend but it is contradictory or paradoxical. Maybe just try to use a bit more vividness when describing the process.

  3. Ever since this question was asked, I've been trying to come up with a simple quick answer without having do dive into heavy animation and physics (I was over thinking things as usual). I'll post of a diagram soon, and hopefully other pictures and drawings in the future.

    1. Alright guys, its been bugging me for a while, but I think I've come up with a nice simple explanation. So in Physics, and correct meh if I is wrong, but when things cool down it is simply the transfer of energy from one place or form to another. So, with Shadow "Magic" the end point would be where the particles will be reaching near absolute zero, and the base( near the where the user would want it to "begin at") would be the warmer area of the act. I know it sounds strange, but thats science for you.

Now, since photons are removed from the act, or the blade in this case, it only looks like it expands when it reality it is the lack of photons via a pulling force. So it looks like it expands.

To clarify things, my description in the original post portrays what one would see vs what actually happens. I'll post a picture soon, and since only three people have been commenting so far lets take a vote:

Should I rewrite the description as two separate processes? The post would be longer, but in the end all the confusion would be nullified.

      Or

Should I just refer the two processes in a simpler manner? It would not go into detail as it does, but the basic concept would be understood- it would be a mystery of how it works.
